Professional Development Opportunities

Summer 2023 Professional Development Sessions

Our summer professional development series will be hosted virtually with a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning modules.

CS1: Introduction to Programming, Exploring Programming (formerly CS0), and AP CSP Learning Sessions are offered in a 17.5 - 21 hour Summer Training format.

College Programming and Computer Science (CPCS, formerly CS3) professional development will consist of two tracks - a Semester track for users who would like to complete the content by December 2023, and a Full-Year track that will wrap up in or around March 2024. These tracks will consist of both synchronous sessions and asynchronous content, culminating in the option to complete certification exercises and obtain CPCS Teacher Certification. More information about the CPCS PD model and teacher certification can be found here. If you're interested in participating, please reach out to Tim Barnes at tbarnes2@andrew.cmu.edu.

Interdisciplinary Programming (formerly CS2) and Creative Task Deep Dive Learning sessions will take place if there is justifiable interest in such content. Times will be announced closer to the session.
